Who Developed Memory Foam Mattresses?

Memory foam mattresses are very popular these days not only because of their comfort but also because their health advantages. It is one of the biggest sleeping improvement in last years. But where did it actually start?

Its root comes from NASA which developed memory material to improve astronauts comfort. it suppose to help astronauts with profound night's sleep. The main mission was to create something what could recognize the body temperature and body weight. The researches aim was to create memory foam which could gently conform to the shape of the body. That way astronauts could have coziness. It would work really well especially in long time journeys.

It has started sometime in the early 1970's by NASA's Ames Research Centre. The main mission was to find a perfect foam which could help astronauts to overcome G-forces during the space travels. They created foam material known as visco - elastic and this material was able to conform human body shape.

These days memorizing mattresses are very popular and many people buying them which significantly improve their sleeping and health.

The first company which started producing memory foam mattresses was Fagerdala World Foams of Sweden. It was in 1980. North American company launched similar product in 1992 and it was a great success.

After that Tempur - Pedic other company from Canada and USA began to develop their own visco memory foam mattresses.

These days there are many different companies and types of mattresses to choose. There are not only matresses but also toppers and pillows too.
