You don't just want to sell any item on eBay, but instead you want to sell items that are in demand. Tool 1 - eBay Pulse is a free tool that I use to help me find which items people are searching for within a particular category on eBay. This tool will show the top ten searches within a selling category on eBay. So if you want to sell golf clubs, this tool will show you the type or brand of golf clubs people are searching for. Once you know this then you need to use tool 2.
Tool 2 - eBay advanced search will help you determine if the top ten searched items are actually selling and for what price. In the advanced search on eBay, type in the item that people are searching for and then click the check box that indicates you want to see completed listings. Now you can see which items actually sold and for how much. Just because people are searching for an item doesn't mean they are actually buying the item. If there are a lot of sales then you may have a good item to try to sell on eBay.
Once you determine which item is in demand and people are actually buying, then you need to find a dropshipping company who has this product. This can be very difficult. It took me several years to find a company I could trust.
